In April 2023, the 2023 China Rural Revitalization and Environmental Development Forum and the Second Rural Water Environment Governance Industry and Development Forum, hosted by the Chinese Environmental Protection Federation of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and undertaken by the Water Environment Governance Professional Committee of the Chinese Environmental Protection Federation and the "the Belt and Road" Ecological Industry Cooperation Working Committee of the Chinese Environmental Protection Federation, was held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province.

At the forum on the treatment of black and odorous water bodies and ecological restoration of water environment held at the same time, case studies on the treatment of black and odorous water bodies in villages and towns were announced. Hongjun Environmental Protection's water ecological restoration technology, which combines river heterotopic ecological restoration with in-situ ecological restoration, was selected for the "Recommended Catalogue of Cases for the Treatment of Black and odorous Water Bodies in Villages and Towns".
